We know first hand that when a Life Partner or Friend passes away under whatever circumstances, family of the
deceased sometimes step in & you have no input into how they are Buried or the Services or where they are Buried or
Cremated. This severely hinders your ability to seek closure & to begin to heal. In fact it adds more hurt, pain &
suffering. You too have the right to say goodbye.
You do not get to keep the Ashes, You have no rights in the administration of their estate.
In fact in most cases you are not recognized legally in any way at all & yet you may have spent however many years of
your life loving this person,sharing your hopes & dreams. Sometimes children are involved.
How do you explain to them that they are not allowed to participate in the process,to say goodbye to their other parent ?
In fact in some cases custody of the child or children is taken away from you by your partners family.
So you are dealing with more than just the death of your Partner.
It is quite simply, NOT fair.
